Web design in Montreal and Laval

Custom websites for Montreal and Laval businesses, in French and English, from $2,000 USD. Built, hosted and maintained by the two people who run Studio86.

Studio86 is a two-person web studio based in Montreal. Andrew Davis designs and builds the sites. Hayk Apinyan handles sales, and he's the one who picks up when you call. We work with businesses across Quebec, the rest of Canada and the United States, but a good share of our clients are a short drive away, in Laval and on the island.

What we build

  • Sites for clinics, salons, shops and service businesses. The pages people check before they call you, with online booking where it helps.
  • Bilingual sites. French and English are planned from the first page, not translated at the end.
  • Online stores and the systems behind them. Accounts, payments, a database, when the site has to do more than present.
  • Takeovers. The site someone else built that nobody wants to touch anymore.

Local work you can visit

Centre chiropratique Ste-Dorothée in Laval asked us for a complete redesign. The new site is bilingual, takes appointments online around the clock, and lays out the clinic's approach, rates and hours so patients have their answers before they phone. In her Google review, Dr. Marie-Claude Poirier wrote that what impressed her most was "the remarkable speed and efficiency of the work, without compromising attention to detail or quality."

MillionHair, a hair salon in Laval, runs on a bilingual site we built with its services, prices, gallery and booking in one place.

Belle-Rive is a concept site we made for an imagined orchard. It shows what a website can do for a seasonal business that people visit in person.

French first, by law and by habit

Quebec's French-language rules require businesses here to offer their website in French, and to give the French version at least equal footing. We write and build both languages together, so your French site is never a half-finished copy of the English one.

Price, and how it works

Websites start at $2,000 USD. You get a one-page quote with the scope, price and timeline before any work starts, and the quote is free. We host and maintain what we build, so after launch there's no server for you to manage and no plugin for you to update. Maintenance is month to month and you can cancel anytime.

One thing to know up front: the code stays with us, which is what lets us keep it patched and running. Your domain, your content, your photos and your logo stay yours. The details are on the Services page.

Questions we hear

Do you only work with Montreal businesses?

No. We're based in Montreal, but we work with clients across Canada and the United States, in English or French.

How much does a website cost?

Websites start at $2,000 USD. Every project gets a free written quote with the scope, price and timeline before any work starts.

Can you redo our current website?

Yes. We read the existing site first and quote second. Sites inherited from another developer are a normal starting point for us.

Do you handle SEO?

Every site we ship has the technical side in place: fast pages, proper titles and descriptions, structured data and a sitemap, so Google and AI assistants can read it.

To talk it through, call Hayk at +1 (438) 969-8135 or tell us about your project.
