MillionHair is a hair salon in Laval that does cuts, colour, balayage and keratin treatments. Its clients find it the way most people find a salon now: on a phone, usually in the evening, comparing two or three places before picking one. The website's job is to win that comparison and turn it into a booking.
What people check before they book a salon
Three things decide it. Do they do what I want, and roughly what will it cost? Is their work any good? Can I book without phoning during business hours? A salon site that hides its prices or shows stock photos instead of its own clients' hair gives people a reason to keep scrolling.
What we built
- Services with starting prices on the home page and a full list one tap away, so nobody has to call to find out what a keratin treatment costs.
- A gallery of the salon's own transformations. Real clients, real results.
- Client reviews on the page, in the clients' own words.
- Booking from every screen, with the phone number right beside it for people who would rather call.
- English and French, switchable from the top of every page, because in Laval you need both.
- A dark, editorial look with a gold serif wordmark, to match a salon that positions itself at the high end.
Why it's plain code
The site is hand-written HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript. No page builder, no theme, no plugins. That choice is mostly about phones: a page with almost nothing in it loads quickly on a weak connection, and a salon site gets most of its visits from people on mobile data. It also means there's no plugin to update and nothing for a bot to break into, which matters because we're the ones keeping it running.
If you run a salon or spa
Show your prices, show your own work, and make booking a single tap. Everything else is decoration. We build salon and spa sites from $2,000 USD, in one language or two, and host and maintain them after launch. Tell us about your salon, see the MillionHair site, or read about our work in Montreal and Laval.
